I teach in a fairly rural school district in WV. Teachers have been back in the school building since last Wednesday and tomorrow we will welcome our students back for the year!
I had high hopes of keeping this blog going over the summer, but my plans were derailed. Not really. I was just busy! I have two sons and two step-daughters and we got a new dog this summer. This is Boomer and this is how we spent a good bit of our summer vacation! (Sound on!)
My husband and I got to do some traveling as a couple over the summer! We got married January 1, 2021 and we had just a tiny weekend ski trip honeymoon at the time. This summer we got to go for a week alone on a road trip up the New England coast all the way to Maine and back! We had the BEST trip. We drove from WV to Boston. Then Boston to Bar Harbor, Maine. We stayed there for 3 nights. On the return trip we stopped at Portland ME, Salem MA, Mystic CT, Philadelphia PA, and Harper’s Ferry, WV.

I got to see an Oldenburg sculpture in Philadelphia just days before he passed away.
I hope you had the best summer to recharge your batteries! We owe it to our students to take good care of ourselves and be the best person we can be. So we can be the best teacher for them! I hope to bring a new joy and exuberance to my classroom this year.
