Have you explored weaving in high school art classes?

I definitely don’t have the space or budget for a lot of fancy looms in my classroom, but I did purchase a tabletop Melissa and Doug Multi-Craft Weaving Loom.
It’s really fun! It totally looks like it marketed for young children, but this is a well-made and flexible loom that can be used in a secondary classroom settting… just toss out those tapestry pieces and don’t let the teenagers see the 5 year old on the box!
A great idea to incorporate weaving in high school classrooms (since you might only have one) is to set the loom up for students by completing the warp. Show them all how to do the weft in a little tutorial. Then, allow early finishers to add a few rows to a group weaving! Just provide a variety of colors and textures of yarn for them.
The loom usually sells for about $42 but right now, you can get it on sale on Amazon for around $30!
